Wellbeing with Blaithin – Yoga

People doing yoga on the beach

Originally trained in the style of Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, my teaching practice is also influenced by training in Yoga for Sports, Yoga for Interrupted Sleep and Structural Awareness Technique.  Science and understanding is shared in each class as I am passionate about providing the experience of joyful movement and also helping each person develop an understanding of the benefits of the practice.

Yoga derives its manifold benefits from the movement of prana. Prana is the vital life force – the energy of the breath which is distributed through the energy channels of the body. The formal practice of controlling the breath is known as Pranayama and includes exercises, poses, breathing techniques and sequences. This explains why three yoga elements, namely breath, relaxation and alignment are so important in yoga practice. I work closely with clients during yoga sessions and teach them how to use yoga elements and execute them properly. When you are focusing on your breathing and what is going on in your inner space, your perspective changes. You are going deeper in your personal yoga journey. Every practice Prana is also a foundation stone of Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. During massage treatment, your breath will provide the rhythm and tempo for the entire treatment.

Adventure Yoga

Adventure Yoga excursions are my passion, always out looking for fun new locations to take the yoga practice. Any outdoor yoga practice is of course an adventure in Irish weather but the next wild session is never far away.  Collaborative excursions include Mountain Yoga Hikes, SUP to Yoga and Yoga-Surf sessions.

Yoga Practice and Courses

Having worked with a diverse range of groups over the years and gaining insight into individual needs, I have developed a number of courses that can be delivered in one-to-one sessions or with groups at your place of work. Courses range from 4-10 weeks, adapting to suit requirements.

Contact me to arrange indoor yoga course and regular practice at your place of work or to organize a weekend adventure for you and your friends. All classes incorporate self-awareness and acceptance techniques that support both physical and emotional resilience and recovery.
