Yoga Philosophy
Duration can range from 40 mins – 2 hrs, depending on the amount of time available. This talk looks at the reality of Yoga principals, Yamas and Niyamas, the ‘ethical guidelines for living’ and re-framing them to suit the reality of modern life. From the concept of Tapas which means self discipline and can be misunderstood to encourage restriction and even misery! Discipline comes from the word disciple which means to follow what you love. In this example we explore what it is you truly want. How do you alter your behavior to encourage more of what you love to be in your life. There is no one philosophy that fits all but we explore how we can use philosophy, ancient and modern, to help tease out the blockages that cause us to stumble.
