At the Riverside Hotel we have the option of going indoors or out. The Riverrun balcony offers a tranquil outdoor escape just a few minutes’ walk from the town center. On warm dry evenings we get to stretch out to the soothing sound of the passing river, allowing our cares to float away downstream. When weather dictates, we practice indoors in the newly refurbished Spirit Studio.  Shower and changing facilities available for use.

Yoga on the Beach

On-going during the summer season April – October

Regular beach yoga sessions are held on Strandhill Beach all summer long. We meet at the cannon and take our mats down the beach and into Shelly Valley, a perfect Yoga space crafted by nature.  Hidden in this soft and sandy studio we get to connect with nature and bring the qualities of the elements into our practice. All beach yoga sessions are catered to beginners with more challenging postures offered to those with a more confident practice. All classes are weather permitting so times/days vary from week to week. You can join the text list for updates by texting your ‘full name’ and ‘outdoor yoga’ to 0877782261. Yoga at Work

Having Yoga at your place of work can have the benefits of reducing stress and enhancing concentration allowing your working day to pass with greater ease. In-house Yoga sessions can be arranged for early morning, lunch time or after work. Duration can range from 30-60 mins depending on the needs and availability of the group. A good introduction would be a 4-week taster course with the options of longer courses provided on completion.

Skill Levels

Beginners: No Experience Required, each breath and move will be explained as we flow. A gentle progression and keen attention to detail will ensure you develop an understanding of, and experience the benefits of gentle mindful movement.

Improvers: Some Yoga experience is required or a good fitness level that will allow you to maintain a steady pace and still absorb new information. Whilst deepening your understanding of the practice you will build on the level of fitness you have, gaining confidence and enhancing the joy you get from your flow.

Chair Yoga: No experience required. An ideal practice for bodies made vulnerable by age or injury. or for groups limited by space, e.g. looking for Yoga in the workplace. The focus is on breath and relaxation techniques to help calm a hyper or distracted mind. The addition of chair-supported gentle mindful movement brings mobility into the body in a safe and effective way.
